Priestly Society of St. John of Ciudad del Este Abolished -- Legacy of Bishop Livieres Dismantled

Ciudad del Este: Dissolution of the Society of Saint John (CSSJ) by Bishop
Steckling
(Asuncion) On March 16, the Priestly Society of St. John (CSSJ) has been abolished by Bishop Wilhelm Steckling of Ciudad del Este in Paraguay. The abolition is connected with the removal of Bishop Rogelio Livieres Plano, who was deposed in 2014 by Pope Francis. Both interventions have something in common: they were done without official naming of reasons, were accompanied by dirty media speculations and are part of a hard factional debate on the understanding of the Church.

Vocations crisis is no natural phenomenon

When Bishop Rogelio Livieres was deposed by Pope Francis in the late summer of 2014, the Holy See gave no reasons for the radical intervention. Officially, it was never disclosed what the bishop who died in 2015 during an operation had been accused of doing. This provided more space for speculation. From the Pope's decree, however, it was clear that Bishop Livieres had disturbed the "concord" in the Episcopal Conference. In Paraguay, which strongly progressive and liberation theological, lay the crux of the matter.

Bishop Rogelio Livieres (1945-2015)

Bishop Livieres belonged to Opus Dei . He was appointed by Pope John Paul II, and took over a diocese on ropes, which had hardly any priests. Until then, the seminarians of all the dioceses of the country were trained in a central national seminary in Asuncion, whose mind was formed on liberation theology. Bishop Livieres withdrew his seminarians and founded his own seminary. The education was oriented to the teachings of the Church, the sacramental priesthood was emphasized and the reverence for the sacrament of the altar was lived. In the parishes, the bishop intensified the religious instruction by founding Bible study groups and the formation of catechists. In addition, Eucharistic worship and the celebration of Holy Mass were promoted in the traditional Rite.

Pope Francis Names New Bishop for Ciudad del Este in Paraguay

Edit: these news reports from Catholic Snooze Network are so sterile and mindless, but the particulars are generally accurate. More later as details about the successor arise.
VATICAN CITY, 15 Nov. 14 / 10:11 a.m. ( CNA / EWTN News ) .- Pope Francisco has today named as the new Bishop of Ciudad del Este in Paraguay, Father Heinz Wilhelm Steckling, who so far has served as rector the major seminary of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate Missionaries in the capital.
The Bishop succeeds Bishop Rogelio Livieres, who since last September 25 was removed from office by the Pope after an Apostolic Visitation held at  his diocese in July this year.
The controversy that led to the apostolic visit of Spanish Cardinal Santos Abril y Castelló began in early June this year, when the Archbishop of Asunción, Msgr. Pastor Cuquejo announced an investigation into alleged pedophilia against Argentine Carlos Urrutigoity priest, incardinated in the Diocese of Ciudad del Este from the United States, and named by Mons. Livieres as Vicar General.
In response, Mons. Rogelio Livieres supported the innocence of Father Urrutigoity, saying that "there were no criminal proceedings" against the priest "or civil justice in the United States, or in the Church ." Mons. Livieres also accused the Archbishop of Asuncion of being gay. [False, as usual for EWTN and their tentacles. This is one of the real reasons he was removed. It had nothing to do with Urrutigoity.  He even went to Rome to appeal to the Holy Father, but the doors were locked.]
Until today, the Diocese of Ciudad del Este was in charge of the Apostolic Administrator appointed by the Holy See , Mgr. Ricardo Jorge Valenzuela River.
Father Heinz Wilhelm Steckling was born on April 23, 1947 in Werl (Germany), and was ordained a priest on July 20, 1974, incardinated to the Congrgación of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
He is Consultant for the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.
New Bishop for Diocese of Incarnation
The Pope Francis also appointed a new bishop for the Diocese of Incarnation, Father Francisco Javier Pistilli Scorzara, after accepting the resignation age limit of Msgr. Ignacio Gogorza Izaguirre.
Father Francisco Javier Pistilli Scorzara born in Asunción (Paraguay) on May 26, 1965, and was ordained a priest on May 10, 1997.
Scorzara Pistilli is Father to the Regional Superior date of the Secular Institute of Schoenstatt Fathers for the 'Region of the Father', which includes Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Nigeria.
The Holy Father also accepted the resignation because of age of the Auxiliary Bishop of Incarnation, Msgr. Silvero Claudio Acosta.

SSJ Part of Investigation of Paraguay Diocese

Edit: the Society of St. John isn't an innocent group of shepherds at work in the fields of The Lord. Let's pray that the treatment unjustly meted out for real Traditionalist societies is justly given here.

CIUDAD DEL ESTE, Paraguay — Pope Francis will send an apostolic delegation to the Diocese of Ciudad del Este to investigate the vicar general, who has a history of sexual-abuse accusations.

Archbishop Eliseo Ariotti, apostolic nuncio to Paraguay, announced July 2 that the Pope will be sending an apostolic visitation to the diocese July 21-26 “to determine not only what has happened recently, but all there is to see in the house of Ciudad del Este.”

Cardinal Santos Abril y Castello, archpriest of the Basilica of St. Mary Major, will lead the investigation; he is to be assisted by Bishop Milton Troccoli Cebedio, an auxiliary of the Archdiocese of Montevideo.

Don't Blame the Catholic Church for Carlos Urrutigoity, Blame the Dark Spirit of Old Liberalism

Edit: we've been trying to expose this tight-knit cult of pseudo-traditionalists for a while. As we pointed out about others of this type, they are clever, cunning and they have a lot of help.

Carlos Urrutigoity has not been accused recently of any sexual misdeeds, but given his past, we're 100% sure that the Church will be blamed. What ever happened to Dominican Inquisitors?

NBC has posted another article by a local journalist who shares in the outrage that such a man is put in a position of trust, even though he has a scandalous past. But just check out this paragraph:
Father Carlos Urrutigoity glides into the sanctuary, his ivory and scarlet robes swishing between the pews. Revered by his flock in the unruly diocese of eastern Paraguay’s Ciudad del Este, the priest will deliver his sermon to hundreds of worshippers. They will later clamor outside the church to meet the man, to receive his benediction.
It's the most recent story by the major news organs about the Society of Saint John's and its Father Urrutigoity who's had credible accusations against him, as well as he has been denounced by Archbishop Timlin and his former colleague who had the courage to oppose him, Doctor Bond, whom we've tried to contact when Deacon Levine was getting ordained in Oregon.

Despite the efforts and risks of many, Father Carlos Urrutigoity (Carlito) is now the second in command in Paraguay, an area with a lot of human trafficking and at risk youth. One thing they'll tell you, and that's usually the thing with this artificial outrage affairs in the major media, is that they're very selective as to who they go after, and they're very particular also about their chosen targets.

They don't spend much time talking about the rampant sex abuse among the movement to legitimize aberrosexualism, in the Green Party, or the Socialists, or rampant sexual abuse among Islamic religious figures. There are no causal links between aberrosexualism and sexual predators and those who engage in human trafficking, but there is always a causal link established in the minds of the masses between the Catholic Church and sexual abuse. Even faithful Catholics believe there is a connection.

Just remember, the SSPX, even after giving Carlos Urrutigoity a second chance, threw him out of the Society.

The SSPX expelled a sexual predator, and now he's been given a new lease on life in another part of the world. We'd suggest that if he'd converted to Judaism and was teaching Hebrew at a Schul, it's hard to believe that anyone would care. What's certain is that the Church will be blamed, not the Liberalism and permissiveness which is now infected it so thoroughly, it's difficult to see Christ in It at all. For many, it's become impossible.

"Former" SSJ Superior Monsignor Carlos Urrutigoity Now Second in Command of Paraguay Diocese

The bishop of the Diocese of Scranton will write a letter to Pope Francis warning about an alleged sexual predator priest  who has risen to second-in-command in a Paraguayan diocese.

Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera, the present ordinary, in the Diocese the alleged predator was suspended,  is deeply concerned about this state of affairs and is reaffirming the previous ordinary, Bishop Martino.

In February, Monsignor  Urrutigoity was named the vicar general, second-in-command, in the Diocese Ciudad del Este in Paraguay. As a member of the Society of St. John, he was accused of sharing alcohol and a bed with students at St. Gregory's Academy in Elmhurst in 2004. He was not charged with a crime because of the statute of limitations, but there was a civil settlement.  Of course, SNAP is closely involved.

Bishop Martino, Bishop Bambero’s predecessor, has already expressed his own reservations about him. Although the Society of St. John was suspended in his Diocese, Bishop Bambera has no jurisdiction.  It’s difficult to believe that Father Urrutigoity’s ordinary wouldn’t have known about the present situation.

A review board, the Southdown Institute,  looked into the suitability of both clerics for the priestly life.  Father Eric Ensey was diagnosed with being sexually attracted to adolescent boys.
